1st August, 2009

…in which I showcase the talents of my wife.

A mathematician friend of ours recently produced offspring. Mrs Elwes created a set of welcome-to-the-world presents:

tetrahedron

cube

octahedron

dodecahedron

icosahedron

platonic-solids

Next time, it’s the Catalan solids!

I made them for my mathematician daughter’s first child. The second also played with them extensively. They are tremendously good first toys. I’m not doing any Catalan, Johnson etc. solids however.
